Group Rhythm: Playing

To obey Jesus together, we must actually do life together by fellowshipping in a variety of ways and contexts.

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Acts 2:42

How to Play In Your Group

Playing With Your Group

Do fun things with your group, both during your regularly scheduled meeting time and at more spontaneous times throughout your week. Spending time together simply for the sake of building relationships will make the group stronger.

Playing To Celebrate Milestones

There are many huge moments in the lives of your people. Natural milestones (birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc) as well as spiritual milestones (dedication, baptism, etc) should be celebrated liberally.

Playing With Other Groups

Your people have other relationships in the church that naturally lend themselves to joint group gatherings. Two or more groups gathering to spend time together, accomplish a task, or simply eat a meal will always strengthen relationships.

Playing With Your ONE in Mind

Social activities are the perfect time to invite your group member's ONES to experience authentic community with you. These fun gatherings can naturally reduce relational barriers that cause folks to be hesitant to join a group.
