Group Rhythm: Praying

To obey Jesus together, we must communicate with him regularly, both through talking and through listening.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Ephesians 6:18

How To Pray In Your Group

Praying With One Another

While most small groups pray together when they gather, it's easy to get stuck in a prayer rut in which every week looks the same. Different methods of prayer can yield different kinds of engagement.

Praying For One Another

Part of sharing life together is praying for the other people in your group- even when you're not physically together. While there are nearly an infinite number of ways to do this, you can find a place to start here.

Praying for God's Mission

God is ultimately trying to reconcile all people to himself. That work takes place globally down to individual human hearts. We are invited to join with God in his mission by praying for this reconciling work.

Praying For Your ONES

Jesus instructed his disciples to pray for workers to be sent into the harvest field. We can both pray for more workers and be obedient workers. Prayer is an essential part of engaging ONES in a Holy Spirit-led way.
