Group Rhythm: Serving

To obey Jesus together, we must learn to live a life characterized by humble service to others.

You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

Mark 10:42-45

What To Learn In Your Group

Serving One Another

Though serving those closest to us can sometimes seem awkward, (both offering and receiving acts of service), serving one another is a significant part of being a member of the family of God.

Serving Together Locally

God designed us to serve together. Not only can we accomplish more together, but we can also create lasting memories and have significant conversations when spending time together with a task to accomplish.

Serving Together Globally

God's mission knows no borders. We have the unique opportunity to support that mission globally in ways that those in the past could have only dreamed of. From going ourselves to serving those who do, our groups can get involved.

Serving Your ONES

We can collectively show our love to people who are close to us but far from God by serving them. Engaging our ONES by serving them together is a powerful witness of our care for them and our devotion to one another.
